6. Nofollow Reciprocity
Most big sites by default use ‘nofollow’ tags therefore not trusting external links nor users that post those links there. This means that they don’t give any credit (in the form of PageRank) to those links and are essentially considering them spam (as that was ‘officially’ the purpose of ‘nofollow’ tag introduction – actually messing with the blogging community search engine rankings was the real purpose). This results in their pages appearing higher in search engine results and your pages appearing lower.
This plugin detects links to above mentioned sites, and puts ‘nofollow’ tags on them. ‘Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.’ WordPress is a major blogging platform, with tens of millions of users. If many people using WordPress use this plugin, other big sites may reconsider their ‘nofollow’ strategy. This plugin expands on Wikipedia nofollow plugin hacked by a revolted blogger.
7. MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer
Do you know your WordPress blog pings unnecessarily every time you edit a post? Think how many times you click on “Save and Continue Editing” or “Save” button. Your blog will ping unnecessarily that many times you click on those buttons. By installing this plugin, you save your blog from getting tagged as ping spammer.
8. TagThePress
With this plugin, you will be able to use the the Web service tagthe.net for your posts. Just click on Fetch tags and the title, content and optional excerpt of your post will be analyzed by tagthe.net in order to find words that could be useful as tags. It currently works with English, German, French and Spanish content.
9. Google XML Sitemaps
This plugin will create a Google sitemaps compliant XML-Sitemap of your WordPress blog. It supports all of the WordPress generated pages as well as custom ones. Everytime you edit or create a post, your sitemap is updated and all major search engines that support the sitemap protocol, like ASK.com, Google, MSN Search and YAHOO, are notified about the update.
10. Sociable
Automatically add links on your posts to popular social bookmarking sites like Facebook, Mixx, StumbleUpon, Digg and many many others. Read more about WordPress SEO so you can get the most out of this plugin.
11. WP Page Numbers
With page numbers instead of next and previous links users can easily navigate much quicker to the page they want. It is good for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as well, because it creates a tighter inner link structure. Works with all well known browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Safari).
13. Advanced Excerpt
This plugin adds several improvements to WordPress’ default way of creating excerpts.
- It can keep HTML markup in the excerpt (and you get to choose which tags are included)
- It trims the excerpt to a given length using either character count or word count
- You can customise the excerpt length and the ellipsis character that will be used when trimming
- The excerpt length is real (ie. “words” and characters belonging to HTML tags are not counted)

Thanks. I’m constantly interested in posts and info about website seo. You can’t predict where you are likely to discover new strategy (well, new to me at least). Although there will almost always be basic Seo techniques, a little tweak here and there, and your website will get much better search rankings. If you use Wordpress using appropriate plugins and / or a high quality premium template will help your Search engine optimization. It’s also important and vital to keep up to date with the modifications in internet search engine algorithms. All the best
